STEM is important because it helps us understand the world around us. As a child, most questions I had could always be answered by one of the STEM fields. I think that when our children understand the world around them then they can work towards making it better. That's why I'm raising funds to support the Discovery Center of Springfield because it is our nonprofit, community funded science center, and it turns kids playing today into adults leading tomorrow’s workforce through hands-on, experiential learning.
